Some reviewers commented on being to scratchy for baby skin, and that was my first thought too, however after the first time you wash it(I even gave it a very light Lanolizing for extra protection) and it turned out super soft. I did notice some shrinking, but as I got it when I was just learning with wool, I may have washed it too warm. Overall, I still really loved the blanket, and the price is right. I am looking at getting another colour for another upcoming baby, and as my wool skills have improved, I should be able to care for it even better. We did not use a sleep sack, just this blanket, and it was perfect.
